The no time to die movie poster shows us the clear action that can be seen within the film. this can be seen as a couple of the characters in the poster are holding weapons, this can connote danger violence and action. As seen in the poster Daniel Craig is the main character (James Bond), we can tell this as he is not only the largest character but he is also seen in the centre oof the poster.

- Biggest images signifying that he is the main character
- 3 males 3 females- equal number suggesting that its a film of equal gender- however the females are much smaller than the male characters.
- image of the characters tat have been picked as the most important
- production and distribution companies
- no actor names as the characters name is bigger than the actor, people should also have prior knowledge that Daniel is the previous actor.
- all of the characters have serious faces, suggesting that they are professional and that the film is not a funny comedy film but a film with a serious narrative.
- the costume is professional and mature which could suggest that the audience is older, making the film with in with the genre and the audience.
- The settings show a rural mountain but also a city and a flaming car, this could suggest that the film has an action genre and the different locations can connote that the film will be exiting and take place in several different places.
- changed because of covid
- prospered
- the film was meant to be released April second but ended up not being released till the 30th September 2021, it was held back this long because of the lockdowns preventing everyone to go out and watch the film.
- 007 is the logo as this is the name of James Bond
- The audience (using their prior knowledge) know who 007 is
- the logo is positioned in the very top centre of the film poster, this is to represent the importance of the three digit logo.
- action
- this can be sen through the guns that are behind held by the characters
- we can also see a flaming car, that indicates a car chase which is a typical part of the action genre in films
- we can also see a motorbike also indicting towards a car chase.
- contrasting the warm and cool colours which can indicate the mood of the film and characters
- from the colour we can connote sadness, which links into the emotions that are high during this film
- the red and oranges at the bottom of the film poster represent the flames, drama and action that can be seen throughout the whole film.
- futuristic
- shows that bond is still modern despite the age of the franchise.
- we can see that the new film poster is more futuristic when we compare to the older 007 posters.
- In no time to die their is a mainly white male dominant cast, which is a typical stereotype in Hollywood, however Nomi is casted as the new 007 while James was on retirement. This challenges stereotypes as she is a different race to the rest of the cast and she is confident and powerful, having a good representation of women and black people.
- The majority of the villains in no time to die are often from a different country, this is so that it demonises other countries that are not Britain.
- The lighting on James Bond allows us to clearly see his wrinkles which is an indication to his old age, this challenges stereotypes as he is of an older age now and still taking part in dangerous activities.
- intertextuality is the relationships between texts
- narrative is the storyline
- mise en scene is the arrangement of sets or characters
- The way that text is laid out or displayed
- A style or category that music, film and other media forms follow, type of film
- big muscles
- smart
- active
- very serious
- formal style
- James bond was highly sexist and treated women like objects
- Hollywoods representation of different races and ethnicities has changed over the years after the black lives matter campaign, a great representative of people of a different race is Nomi in the no time to die film.
- Not only has the way women are treated in the Bond films gotten better, but the way that they are presented has also evolved as female characters are much stronger and less objectified now.
- Lashana Lynch who plays Nomi in no time to die, experienced bad racism after she was reported to be playing the new 007. This is due to the fact that she is not only a black person but she is also female, this shows that as a society we have not fully moved on.
- there are less guns on this posters showing that violence is not always the best.

MWTGG Film poster and media language analysis
- released in 1974
- based on the book by Ian flemings
- the film had a $9 million budget and made $97 million
- the front cover isn't an image but is an illustration
- 1973 there was an energy crisis that is referred to in the poster with the power plant in the bottom
- They have used a montage of around 10+ images so that they can show as many elements of the film as possible to tease at the audience
- the gun connotes power and violence but also protection which is in front of his face showing its importance. His suit represents formality and seriousness, his facial expressions show a clear confidence as he addresses the audience.
- the car scene is a typical genre convention for an action film. The bomb and explosion in the bottom left also symbolises danger and action.
- in terms of the golden gun we can see that is in aim to kill James Bond, suggesting that the person holding the golden gun is evil.
Propp theory
villain- person holding the gun
hero- James Bond
princess- the 2 women dressed in bikinis
helper- not seen
dispatcher - not seen
