Marketing and promotion

lo/ To explore the marketing methods in NTTD

Explain why the delayed release on no time to die was an issue for the team behind the movie?

The delayed release on the no time to die movie led to mass loss of money towards the film. The original marketing strategies not only cost a lot to make but once the film got delayed they also became completely useless as they were out of date and everyone had already seen them. this meant that marketing the film had to be repeated 3 times causing a major loss in the money for marketing the film. another issue with the delay in release date is that the film soon became out of date as well. Due to the film being delayed by a year and a half all the products in the film soon became old and outdated, this meant that the team had to reedit the film which took a long period of time and a lot of money.

DIRT WORK LESSON

3a- EON production, produced no time to die

3b- conglomerate is being able to use different devises to watch a piece of media work, this could include phones or tvs. This is often used to make more money.

target for 3d- following the structure of how to write
  • describe the examples of marketing
  • examples from NTTD
  • link this to the platform it was used on and wide examples.
3d- The film industry markets and distributes films by using different marketing tactics such as doing brand collaborations. This can be seen in the production of no time to die as Danial Craig takes part in a Heineken advert that references his character James Bond. This helps promote both companies as it will invite the audience of Heineken to watch no time to die but it will also make the big fans of no time to die want to drink Heineken. This uses many different platforms as the advert was promoted for anyone to see on youtube which used the online platform. Another example would be when the film industry use trailers and teasers to attract the audience to a film or show. This was used by the marketing team of no time to die as they released both a trailer and teaser of the film. the full trailer allows the audience to see what is going to happen in the film and the marketing team often use all the action scenes in the trailer to make the audience more interested. Trailers and teasers can be seen on many different platforms juts like the Heineken advert, however it is often seen on platforms such as youtube or other online platforms.

target for 4c- use more example from the archers website

The Archers website appeals to the audience as it uses the drama and interesting topics of each episode to attract their audiences. An example of this would be through the fact that the website allows the audience to catch up on any missed episodes, through the omnibus or saved episodes. This allows the audience to stay up to date with the show and also use it as a way to escape reality. This overall links to the uses and gratifications theory as it uses the entertainment element.
